Rabat, Morocco- Morocco condemned with the harshest terms “the cowardly terrorist attack” which targeted, on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015, the Bardo Museum in the sisterly Tunisian republic, a statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation read.
“The Kingdom of Morocco condemns, in the strongest terms, this abject terrorist act, which aims at undermining the democratic model of Tunisia and the economy of this country, namely the tourism sector, reiterating, once again, its solidarity and entire support to the sisterly Tunisian Republic, in its efforts to preserve security and stability and to eradicate the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism, which is strange to the culture of the Tunisian society, characterized by the values of moderation and the culture of peace and tolerance,” the statement added.
“The Kingdom of Morocco, which always reaffirms its rejection of all forms of terrorism and acts of violence, no matter what the motives and reasons could be, calls, once again, for the intensification of regional and international efforts to face this scourge, which targets international peace and security,” the statement closed.
