Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-In the wake of the tragic accident that saw, at least, 34 people pass away when a CTM coach burst into flames following a collision with a fish lorry, that was carrying illegally gas, in the vicinity of Tan-Tan, the event prompted various concerns among Moroccan activists who called upon a thorough investigation on this scandal.

The Moroccan authorities did not declare 3 mourning days, which lead various Moroccans to take to social media platforms and declare “National Morning Days” to honor the victims, most of which are school pupils and young athletes.

Many Moroccans changed their Facebook and Twitter profile pictures to the one featured above, with an Arabic scripture that reads “Hidad Chaabi 3ala Dahaya Faji3at Tan-Tan,” meaning in English “National Mourning on the souls of those who passed away as a result of the Tan-Tan Tragedy.”

A Facebook page entitled “National Mourning on the souls of those who passed away as a result of the Tan-Tan Tragedy” was created few hours ago and has already amassed more than 5000 likes.
