Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- French stand up comedian Dieudonné’s show “The filthy beast,” initially scheduled for next April 29 in casablanca, will not be taking place, an official source quoted by Moroccan media outlet Media 24 said.

According to the said source, “Dieudonné’s show in Casablanca will not take place as it did not receive an approval” from the Moroccan authorities.

The event was planned to be held at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca.

Rumors have been circulating on social networks that the main reason behind this canceling has it that “French authorities asked their Moroccan counterparts to not allow the show.”

Dieudonné stirred recently a lot of controversy in the wake of the Charli Hebdo terrorist attack after tweeting “Je Suis Charlie Coulibaliy”. He was even incarcerated for few days as a result.
