Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco harshly condemned the terrorist attack against a United Nations camp in Norther Mali, a communiqué from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said.
“The Kingdom of Morocco, while presenting its sincere condolences and compassion to the Malian authorities and families of the victims, expresses its solidarity with MINUSMA [United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali] and commends the efforts of the Mission and its member states, to establish peace and security in Mali and to preserve its unity and sovereignty,” the statement read.
“The Kingdom of Morocco reiterates its firm condemnation of this abject terrorist act and its categorical rejection of terrorism in all its forms,” the statement closed.
It is worth reminding that he terrorist attack targeted, on Thursday, April 16th 2015, a camp of the MINUSMA,in Asango, in the region of Gao, leaving at least three victims and some wounded members of MINUSMA peacekeepers.
