Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Following Nepal’s earthquake rising death toll, which went over 4,800 as rescuers are still struggling to rescue people trapped under the rubble, the kingdom of Morocco, upon instructions of King Mohammad VI, will provide an emergency humanitarian aid of US$ 1 million to the earthquake’s victims.

A statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “this emergency aid, which will be sent to Nepal, through the United Nations, is part of the efforts of the international community to help the country cope with the devastating effects of this disaster and alleviate the suffering of its people.”

“By this gesture of solidarity, Morocco expresses its sympathy with the government and the people of Nepal in these painful circumstances,” the statement closed.
