Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Royal Gendarmery acquired new armored vehicles with an aim to strengthen their military equipment and allow an easier intervention to disperse prospective riots acts in protests, marches, football games, and others.
The newly acquired vehicles are provided with intelligence technology that has the ability to detect specific kind of bombs and explosive devices dozen of kilometers away.
The said vehicles are also equipped with high-tech cameras that can zoom in on any subject from kilometers away.
The aforementioned vehicles were acquired after a special request made by the Moroccan authorities to a leading military vehicles manufacturer.
The vehicles will also be used to monitor Morocco’s eastern borders with Algeria, in a bet to strengthen the already existing mechanisms in the said region that aims at crippling terrorists infiltration from that side.
