Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- 10 minutes after the start of the 2015 baccalaureate exams in Morocco, the chemistry test, the accounting test, the Arabic test and the English test were uploaded on various Facebook Pages, including “Tasribate 2015,” a page where various people uploaded back their answers as comments and posts on the said page, or other pages similar to that.
This cheating practice is not new to Morocco as the same methods were witnessed in the North African kingdom in the last years.
Apparently, even though the Ministry of Education has tightened during the last years the controlling system, some students manage to enter high tech devices and take pictures of the exams.
The Ministry of Education issued a communiqué right after the leaking saying it is taking notes of all the answers provided on those pages and stressed that harsh measures will be taken against those who are caught in all cheating practices.
It is worth reminding that the use of mobile phones and other devices is strictly forbidden, with the Ministry resorting this year to the use of hi-tech devices to detect any use of mobile phones in class. Nevertheless, some students apparently always find a way around.
