Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Investigators interrogated, Saturday, August 22, El Qahzzani Ayoub, the 26-year-old Moroccan terrorist who was planning to kill with a Kalashnikov probably all train passengers en route from Amsterdam to Paris yesterday afternoon.
As soon as the carnage was miraculously avoided and the terrorist neutralized thanks to the vigilance and courage of two American soldiers present in the train, the man was transferred Saturday morning to Paris.
Various images of the terrorist have emerged as well in local news outlets.
According to the investigators who interrogated the suspect, the terrorist denies having links with terrorist cells.
Nevertheless, according to the investigators, these statements are all but true.
The man has lived in Spain and was on a list of “potential terrorists” as he was linked to a radical milieu, including attending a Salafist mosque.
The Spanish authorities alerted the French authorities about the potential-terrorist as soon as he moved to live in France.
In France, he was listed as an “S,” meaning he had links with terrorists but was not necessarily monitored.
The Spanish daily El Pais even said that Ayoub El Qahzzani had joined the ranks of ISIS in Syria, before returning back to Europe.
