Akhchichine May Replace Bakouri As Secretary General of the PAM

Ahmed Mostafa Akhchichine, the head of the Marrakech-Safi region.

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-According to a news story on today’s edition of the Moroccan daily Assabah, the currently second strongest party in Morocco, the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM for its French Acronym) is set to witness a new wave of changes in the instances of the party in the wake of the National Council of the said party’s recent decision to dissolve the old configuration of the regional secretariat and to create new regional council to meet the new scheme of regionalization of Morocco (12 regions instead of 16).

The Moroccan daily noted that the party will hold its national congress between 22-24 January 2016.

The daily added that during the upcoming national congress, Ahmed Mostafa Akhchichine may succeed to Bakkoury for the post of Secretary General of the party.

It is worth reminding that Ahmed Mostafa Akhchichine is the head of the Marrakech-Safi region. He is the former Minister of National Education, Higher Education, Training and Scientific Research in the Fassi government.
