Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation issued a communiqué strongly condemning the terrorist attack that befell Tunisia yesterday.
“Following the despicable attack, which targeted a bus of the presidential guard, on Tuesday November 24th2015, in Tunis, leaving a number of victims and injured, the Kingdom of Morocco strongly condemns this ignoble terrorist act that claimed the lives of innocent soldiers, and expresses its sincere condolences and compassion to the families of the victims, as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured,” the communiqué read.
The communiqué further noted that the “Kingdom of Morocco reiterates its solidarity and constant support to Tunisia in its fight against extremism and terrorism, which are strange phenomena to the Tunisian society, strongly attached to the values of moderation and tolerance, and its solidarity with this brotherly country in its efforts to preserve its security and stability.”
“The Kingdom of Morocco also reaffirms its rejection of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and whatever the motives and reasons could be and calls for the combination of all efforts and for more regional and international coordination to eradicate this phenomenon which threatens Peace and Security in the World,” the communiqué closed.
