H5N1 Bird Flu: Morocco Halts Poultry Imports from France

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco decided to stop imports of poultry from France, including all poultry products, after the announcement of the discovery of bird flu cases in Dordogne, France.

Last Monday, the French Ministry of Agriculture announced the discovery of a case of H5N1, the first since 2007.

Up to now at least eight countries have halted poultry imports from France, and the list includes South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
