Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The secretary general of the National Council for Human Rights (known under its French acronym CNDH), Sebbar Mohamed said yesterday in Casablanca, while speaking in a forum titled “The rights of prisoners between international standards and the conditions of detention,” that “Women represent 2.5% of all prisoners in Moroccan prisons.”

Among others, Sebbar said that the CNDH grants a huge “interest in the condition of detention of prisoners in Morocco.”

“The CNDH’s mission is defending human rights in Morocco in general, and prisoners rights in particular,” Sebbar stressed.
