Marrakesh, Morocco (TMT)- According to a story featured on Moroccan economy paper Leconomiste, a team of researchers from the Marrakesh-based Cadi Ayyad University, financed by the Moroccan Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energy (known under its French acronym IRESEN), is set to unveil a low cost synthetic new lithium ion battery, “Made In Morocco.”

The project, “Inno Batteries,” involves the design of a Lithium-ion battery, created from metal products solely from Morocco.

“This makes it the first Lithium-ion 100% made in Morocco,” Leconomiste said.
