Rabat, Morocco(TMT)- In the wake of the ban of a special issue of the French scientific Magazine “Science et Avenir” (January-February edition), the Moroccan Minister of Communication and Government spokesman, Mr. Mustapha Khalfi reiterated that the ban came as a result of said edition featuring two illustrations that depict Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).

“I took this decision, including many other similar decisions since February 2012. There is no question of authorizing the distribution of a publication personifying God or his prophets,” said Mustapha El Khalfi in an interview given to Le360.

“I coordinated with the head of the Moroccan government and other ministers regarding this,” said El Khalfi.

It is worth reminding that Morocco, regardless of the ideology of any party that has lead, or may lead in the future a government coalition, has banned, or will ban, all issues that feature illustrations of God or its prophets, including mocking other religions, as the Moroccan law stipulates such.
