Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s economy paper Leconomiste said in its today’s edition that various Moroccan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were “hardly hit financially following the VoIP block decision.”
“Some SMEs are even planning to contact the Moroccan Minister of Industry, Trade, & New Technologies, Moulay Hafid Elalamy to echo their anger and dissatisfaction with the decision,” the paper said.
“Said SMEs are wondering why the Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Trade, & New Technologies did not communicate at all regarding the block decision, in a time when the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT), civil society organizations, and telecom operators have all brought forth their point of view on the matter,” Leconomiste added.
It is worth reminding that the Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Trade, & New Technologies has an important say when it comes to any decision or law the ANRT takes/enacts, which explains in the first place why the SMEs are still waiting for “a reply” from Moulay Hafid Elalamy.
