Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The secretary general of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), Nabil Benabdellah said yesterday in the wake of a party meeting in Oujda, a city located along the borders with Algeria, that “it is a shame that two brother countries that share the same religion, culture, and history still have their borders closed.”
“In the whole world we find that the Koreas, along with Algeria and Morocco, are the only countries with closed borders,” Benabdellah stressed.
‘It is very sad to find things like that in today’s world,” Benabdellah went on to say.
“I call on the Algerian authorities to reconsider their decision, hoping that they will lean on the issue.
“It is in the interest of both countries to open the borders, regardless of our mutual problems,” Benabdellah noted.
