Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- A young man was sentenced to 6 months of jail after he pleaded guilty to blackmailing his girlfriend by threatening her that he would reveal intimate photos of her unless she gave him money.
The man initially received a 1 year jail sentence, before it was reduced to 6 months by the Tangier court of appeal.
This is not the first time the Tangier authorities deal with “young men blackmailing their girlfriends.”
Just last month, the authorities arrested another young man who threatened to upload an intimate video of his girlfriend to porn websites, if she fails to give him money.
The latter is still currently waiting his trial, pending the completion of an investigation.
