Rabat, Morocco(TMT)- Only few days after the intoxication of 147 prisoners in the “Loudaya” jail in Marrakesh [They were intoxicated last Friday] after being presented with expired food by the prison authorities, with all the controversy it stirred, another intoxication case was avoided in the last minutes, and in the very same prison, as a hygiene committee belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture halted a shipment of “expired frozen fish,” which was destined to be feed to the poor guys who are still suffering the after effects of the first intoxication case.

An investigation on the first intoxication case is currently being conducted.

The aim of the investigation is to uncover the veil on people responsible for sending expired food to prisons.

The investigation also aims to shed light on whether the indicted people were aware of whether the food has expired or not when shipping it to the prison restaurant personnel.
