Rabat, Morocco(TMT)- Turkey’s prime minster Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that one of the Brussels terrorist “was caught in Turkey and deported,” further stressing that Turkey warned Belgium about him, but their warning was met by a deaf ear from Belgium’s authorities.

This comes in line with a Turkish official telling Reuters that the terrorist in question, the one who blew himself at Brussels airport, Ibrahim el-Bakraoui, “was deported from Turkey two times last year.”

The official said Bakraoui was deported “on suspicion that he was a foreign fighter” aiming to join the ranks of NISIS. (The Non Islamic State of Iraq and Syria)

The Turkish authorities said that Bakraoui was caught in Turkey in June 2015 and deported. He was again caught two months later and deported for the second time.

His return to Turkey for the second time, despite his deportation clearly shows that the man had no innocent plans at all. This lead Turkey to issue serious warning to Belgium, which according to Erdogan was “ignored.”
