Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- During the Moroccan government cabinet’s weekly meeting, held this morning in Rabat, Morocco’s head of the government staunchly criticized Ilyas El Omari, the secretary General of the PAM [Opposition party]– though not referring to him by name– for this latter’s recent remarks, among which he said that he “will find a solution to the Teacher Trainees Dossier in less than 24 hrs.”

Benkirane stressed “that there is no new governmental proposal for the Teacher trainees dossier,” asking the ministers present during the government cabinet’s weekly meeting,“ is there any other government apart from this one here? Another government taking decisions on our behalf?”

“People [Omari] who speculate wrong information should be ashamed of themselves,” Benkirane said in an angry tone.

“This is lies, concocting false and wrong information.

“This is gibberish talk. People who concoct this lies are not ethical.

“They [Omari] sell dreams to people.

“This is the government that King Mohammed VI appointed [pointing with his finger to Moroccan ministers present during the weekly cabinet meeting] and this is the head of it in front of you (pointing to himself] ,“ Benkirane angrily added.

It is worth reminding that the last governmental proposal to find a solution to the teacher trainees dossier goes by hiring 7000 teacher trainees next September, and then by taking the remaining 3000 ones next December, though while keeping both governmental decrees N: 588-15-2 and N: 589-15-2. Some teacher trainees (a non-underestimated minority) accepted the proposal, but others did not and still take to the streets from time to time.
