Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-A statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Interior said that two individuals were arrested in Casablanca and Had Soualem, respectively on the 1st and 2nd April, on terrorism charges.

Both individuals are linked to the 10 people cell dismantled last March 23rd.

The cell has pledged allegiance to the Libyan section of the Non-Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (NISIS).

The two elements were charged of financing and coordinating with jihadists belonging to the Libyan section of NISIS.

All cell members were maneuvering day in and day out to facilitate the infiltration of NISIS jihadists to Morocco, in a bet to carry out terrorist attacks in the kingdom.

The cell was dismantled by the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), the Moroccan Ministry of Interior said.
