Rabat, Morocco (TMT)– King Mohammed VI is paying an official visit to Beijing on 11-12 May, following an invitation from Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.

The discussions between both leaders will focus on pressing issues of bilateral cooperation and international affairs.

Both leaders are expected to sign the Moroccan Chinese Strategic Cooperation agreement.

King Mohammed VI’s visit was scheduled to take place initially in 2014, but was postponed many times, for no given reason.

King Mohammed VI hinted out to this visit few days ago in a speech he gave in the wake of the Morocco-GCC summit, when stressing, “we are also looking forward, in Morocco, to launching a strategic partnership with India, and also with the People’s Republic of China, to which I will soon be paying an official visit.”
