Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Abdellilah Benkirane, Morocco’s head of the government said today in the wake of a parliamentary session that the opposition should stop trivializing the work of the government, blaming unsuccessful projects on the government, while giving credits for successful ones solely to the King.

Benkirane said that “we are here to work with the king,” stressing that “the king and the government are one entity, not two separate ones, only one entity that strives to better Morocco.”

“Stop your dishonest maneuvers,” Benkirane said.

“Indeed the Ramed program [A national health insurance program intended to protect low income citizens from financial disasters due to catastrophic illness] was initiated by King Mohammed VI. But King Mohammed VI is no doctor, and the government, under his supervision, worked to make the project a reality. We are working together with the king. Stop trying to separate the king’s efforts from the government’s ones. We work together,” Benkirane stressed.

“When a project fails, you blame the government. And if it succeeds, you say it is thanks to the King,” Benkirane angrily said.
