Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- On the sidelines the FIFA Russia 2018 world cup draw held yesterday in Cairo, where Morocco has been drawn into Group C alongside Gabon, Ivory Coast and Mali, the Moroccan national team coach Herve Renard told Moroccan sport channel AlRyadiya that qualifying for the world cup won’t be an easy task, stressing that even though Morocco has a lot of good individual talents, the challenge now is to build a fully-fledged team.

“We have very good players when it comes to individual skills, but now we need to be a good team when taking on the qualification phase,” Renard said.

“We need to be very strong when encountering our opponents. When you have to play strong teams like Mali, Gabon, and Ivory Coast, any laxity or looseness from our side at any moment of the game will yield crucial results,” Renard warned.

“We need to be strong mentally and confident in ourselves, but at the same time we need to understand that qualifying for the world cup won’t be an easy task,” Hervé added.

“And Inchallah the best team will qualify for the world cup,” Hervé closed.
