Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred is again in the hot seat, after he was yet again involved in a sexual assault story.
A young French girl is accusing the Moroccan star of trying to rape her yesterday in Paris inside his hotel room. He was staying in the famous French Marriott Champs Elysées hotel as he was scheduled to perform on Saturday October 29 at Paris’ Palais des Congrés.
The girl run away from Saad and hurried up to the hotel reception looking for help.
The police of the 17th arrondissement of Paris came then at the scene and handcuffed the Moroccan star, before taking him to a police station for investigation.
Saad was placed in custody. He is expected to stand before the public prosecutor this Friday.
Saad’s father took to his defense, stressing that “Saad is paying the price of being famous,” hinting out in the meantime that the story may have been carefully planned by the young girl, or at the very least exaggerated, especially that the French girl accepted willingly to join him in his room.
Nevertheless, this is all but the first time Saad finds himself in the hot seat.
Few months ago he was linked to a rape case that supposedly took place in the US back in 2010.
Two years before that, Saad was involved in a car accident which saw a Kuwait diplomatic car run over a Moroccan journalist.
