Darmstadt, Germany (TMT)- Moroccan novelist Abdellilah Benarafa announced that following the success of the Arabic version of “Jabal Qaf” (Mount Qaf in the English), the bibliographical novel on the Andalusian mystic Muhyī d-Dīn Ibn ʿArabī, its translation to the English is now available.

The  biographical  novel  “Mount Qaf”  is based on histories of medieval Andalusia.

Muhyī d-Dīn Ibn ʿArabī  was a contemporary of Avempace and Averrhoes, and was a pupil of the later.

Ibn ʿArabī  witnessed a number of battles between Andalusian Arabs and Spanish Christian kingdoms.

From early Childhood, this son of an army General in Murcia studied philosophy and religions.

Ibn ʿArabī developed his own course of mysticism and wrote several books in the field.

It is worth mentioning that Benarafa was born in Sale, near Morocco’s capital Rabat, 160 kms from Fez, the center of mystic culture in Morocco.

Benarafa is a graduate of the prestigious French Sorbonne. He is currently working as a cultural adviser on various subjects of literature and humanities. He has published several books in Arabic, French, and Spanish, including 6 novels in Arabic. “Mount Qaf” was written to bring home the human aspect of the Andalusian culture.
