Rabat, Morocco (TMT)– On the sidelines of King Mohammed VI’s visit to Madagascar, Morocco and Madagascar signed 22 bilateral cooperation agreements.

The signing ceremony was chaired by King Mohammed VI, and President of the Republic of Madagascar, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, at the Presidential Palace in Antananarivo.

“The agreements, which are meant to promote South-South cooperation, partnership between the employers’ associations of both countries, as well as the legal framework governing bilateral cooperation, cover various sectors of activity,” a statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation read.

King Mohammed VI’s visit to Madagascar falls within the second leg of a tour that led the Moroccan monarch to Ethiopia, and which will also lead him to Burkina Faso and other African countries.
