Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- While speaking this morning in the wake of a party gathering in Rabat, Morocco’s head of government Abdellilah Benkirane said that some media outlets were very biased when it came to covering the story of the Party of Authenticity and Modernity Councillor who shot down 4 young people, including seriously injuring a fifth person, near the city of Ouazane few days ago.

“Recently I read a story on an online outlet with the headline “PJD Councillor arrested for possession of a gun”,” Benkirane said.

“When I investigated the claims, it turned out that the said counselor from Nador had no guns and was never arrested,” Benkirane stressed.

“The story is that his son, who sells old clothes imported from Europe (Benkirane used the Moroccan Darija word Lbal) found a gun when he opened a bal packet (a bal packet consists of a huge amount of old clothes imported from Europe) and as soon as he found it, he alerted the authorities,” Benkirane further noted.

“It is fascinating to compare that story with the reality and how some outlets covered it,” Benkirane added.

“It is even more fascinating if you compare it with the way they covered the story of the PAM counselor who gunned down 4 people, where they almost never mentioned the name of that party, the PAM,” Benkirane closed.
