Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- French citizens living in Morocco overwhelmingly rejected a Marine Le Pen presidency on Sunday, figures from France’s embassy in Morocco show.
According to the French embassy in Rabat, the National Front leader received just 4.1 per cent of the vote in Morocco, well behind other candidates.
Emmanuel Macron lured a whopping 31.6% of the overall vote, while Fillon stacked 28.9%.
The Morocco-born candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon came at the third position with 25.8 of the overall vote.
According to the French embassy in Rabat, the participation rate stood at 53%.
French citizens living in Morocco headed to 28 polling stations, scattered around the kingdom.
