Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The former Moroccan Minister of Human Rights, who is also a member of the Moroccan league for the defense of Rifi detainees, said today that he was “shocked after seeing the faces of some Rifi activists,” on the sidelines of their first trial session.

“There are notable signs of violence on the faces of various Rifi activists,” Ziyan said.

“The public prosecutor office said that such signs of violence occurred on the sideline of theirĀ arrest, but I don’t believe this version as they have notable bruises,” Ziyan further noted.

“Around 10 activists show a high level of violence, violence,” Ziyane stressed.

It is worth reminding that the former Moroccan Minister of Human Rights staunchly condemned the arrests and made no bones about calling it it “a political arrest.”
