Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- In the wake of unscrupulous merchants benefiting from the current juncture to increase the prices of some essential products, the Moroccan ministry of Economy has decided to set the prices of various products to ensure price regulation and price control, with an aim to prevent black marketing.

The prices of some vegetables have slightly increased during the ongoing crisis period, mainly in small and open-air markets.

The prices would be publicly shared in the official journal, well-know under its Arabic acronym, Al Jarida Al Rasmiya.

The authorities have also warned that any person caught red-handed selling goods above the regulated prices will be subject to heavy fines, including the possibility of shutting down his business.
