Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Ministry of Health said in a statement that a 58-year-old woman passed away from the coronavirus yesterday evening.

This brings the death toll from the coronavirus in Morocco to 4.

The authorities said the late was a native of Kheribga.

According to the authorities, the late was infected from the coronavirus after taking part in a funeral in said city.

The woman was living with her two daughters. She did not feel initially anything before her health deteriorated rapidly, which triggered the local health authorities to suspect she was infected from the coronavirus.

After the results of the test came positive, the woman was rushed to a hospital in Casablanca, but she passed away as her situation was dire.

The authorities have put in quarantine all people with whom the late was in contact in the last 14 days.

It is worth reminding that the youngest person who died from the virus in Morocco was a 39-year-old, who contracted the virus in Madrid after traveling to watch his favorite soccer team Real Madrid.
