coronavirus in Morocco: 55 new cases today, total at 225

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Ministry of Health said in a press conference a few minutes ago that 55 new cases have tested positive to the coronavirus today.

Casablanca holds the lion’s share in terms of people infected, followed by Rabat, while Meknes comes in the third place.

This brings the total number of people who tested positive to 225 in the North African kingdom.

The death toll stands now at 6 as a 65-year-old passed away today. He had chronic diseases. The late is a native of the city of Meknes.

A 76-year-old man passed away yesterday. The man had visited the Netherlands recently. He was also suffering from a chronic disease.

7 people have fully recovered now from the virus with a 69-year-old person successfully recovering today.

The Moroccan health authorities further said that over 700 people have tested negative.
