Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s Minister of Economy Mohamed Benchaaboun said today in a press statement that 4 million Moroccan households, those operating in the informal sector, will benefit from a state-sponsored program to help them get by during these difficult times.
All those families will benefit from a monthly stipend, with all the money funneled thanks to donations from the “The National Fund for the fight against the coronavirus”, including a contribution from the state.
The total amount is set to hover around 25 billion dirhams (2.4 billion euros), according to the Moroccan Minister of Economy.
