Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- An expectant mother from Rabat has tested positive to the coronavirus yesterday.

The pregnant woman was taken in urgency to the Rabat Ibn Rochd hospital (CHU Ibn Rochd), despite being in good health.

There is a limited amount of information on how the coronavirus affects pregnant women, but some experts say that from current cases in China, Italy, Spain, and other countries, doctors say that pregnant women do not appear to be more susceptible to contamination or to suffer more from the coronavirus than the general population.

Also, experts say there is no evidence the virus can pass from the mother to her baby.
