Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Following the emergence of a video(featured video above) on social media documenting members of the local authorities of Rabat (a Qaed and his companions) confiscating the goods of a vegetable and fruits merchant, the Qaed invited the merchant and his son to the municipality headquarters to present his excuses.
The Qaed confiscated the goods of the man as this latter was a welder, and did not allow him to sell such products in his soldering workshop.
But Moroccans from all stripes took to the defense of the welder and his son, stressing that the current juncture is dire, especially that the man was selling said products at a normal price, not indulging in price gouging.
Photos featuring the Qaed with the merchant and his son all smiling were shared heavily on Facebook.
“Honored are those who present their excuses after they do wrong to others,” one person said on Facebook.
