Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The secretary-general of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), Nabil Benabdellah has called for new constitutional reforms to take place in the post-COVID-19 era.

“The current crisis has blown the fig leave away, one that hid our frail health and education systems,” Benabdellah said.

“A new social contract needs to be drafted in the post coronavirus era,” Benabdellah stated.

“We need this to establish a fundamental role for the state in promoting the economy and supporting social sectors,” Benabdellah added.

“We need to invest strongly in our health and education systems, including in other essential social sectors,” Benabdellah noted.
