Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- In the early days, the death rate of the novel coronavirus in Morocco was hovering around 7%, but it keeps waning on a daily basis.

Of course, the death rate in the kingdom is still far away from that in countries like Germany, South Korea, or Singapore, countries that have been the subject of heightened interest from all over the world as a result of their posted record-low 0.1% death rate, but signs in Morocco have been quite encouraging.

Yesterday the date rated waned to 3.4%, with a total of 183 death cases, at the time of writing, in Morocco.

Last week, the rate was already at 3.9%.

Since the prescription of chloroquine to all suspected cases of COVID-19, those with no underlying health conditions, the death rate has tremendously plummeted.

The recovery rate stood yesterday at 37.3%, while one week before, it hovered around 21.5%.
