A former member of the Moroccan Jihadist movement  was sentenced to 25 years in prison for murder though he was not the perpetrator, Telqel reported. As a matter of fact, after spending 20 years behind bars, authorities found out who was the real murderer.

It all began in 1985. Issa Saber, who found liberty receiving a royal pardon after spending 20 years behind bars, was accused of killing his superior Lahbib Adif in the town of Zaio, Nador.

However, Saber is innocent and the real killer is none but a colleague from the Moroccan jihadist movement. The criminal, whose name Mohammed D., was recently arrested by the Moroccan authorities and  has acknowledged his crime.

Mohammed D. admitted murdering Lahbib Adif following orders from jihadist Abdelaziz Naomi.

Issa Saber has now issued a request to the Moroccan court to receive compensation for his 20 years behind bars.
