King Mohamed VI last visit to the United States had an aim of deepening the historic ties of the two countries and strengthening their economic ties. This visit also gave a new breath to the Moroccan-US relations, which date back to 1777, after the human rights mandate for MINURSO conflict.

The recent royal visits to Mali, Ivory Coast, Guinea and Gabon did not go unnoticed; the monarch’s extensive diplomatic moves which resulted in the signing of over 80 agreements of cooperation in different fields meet America’s economic interest in Africa.

Morocco’s cooperation and influence in Africa can represent a great path to American investors to explore the emerging African market, especially with the Morocco-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA). This can be a great opportunity to counter the growing Chinese influence in the continent.
