53-year-old supply teacher Yousef Chaouni-Benabdallah, a Canadian citizen of Moroccan origins, was found guilty of sexual-assault and touching against five girls at two schools in Ottawa.

Ottawa Citizens news outlet reported the judge saying “I find him to have been very opportunist as he quickly jumped on all occasions that presented themselves to sexually touch the complainants.”

“Whether he was alone with a student or was practising a lockdown or doing a science experiment in front of the class, he seized the moment to fulfil his fantasy.”

According to the same source, in most cases, Chaouni used to put his hands inside the girls’ underpants while in one case he put a girl’s hand on the crotch of his pants.

Chaouni used to create perfect situations where girls would be alone with him as to satisfy his fantasy.

He used to offer the little victims jujubes and chocolate after the assaults.

Some of the victims even said he used to tell them to keep it to themselves after “touching them”

He was reported saying to some of his victims “Don’t say this to anybody, I will get jailed if someone knows”

On the other hand, Chaouni has refuted the assaults saying all of this is fabrication.

He added that in the Moroccan culture it’s normal for adults to kiss and hug children who are not their own, let alone their kids.
