A recent report published by the British parliament highlighted “the irreversible process to consolidate democracy and the rule of law” Morocco is undergoing. “Morocco has been engaged in a democratization process, mainly after the adoption of the new Constitution in 2011 and the implementation of major policy reforms”.
The report also emphasized that the Kingdom of Morocco has been effectively contributing to the international community efforts for stabilizing the strategic Sahel region.
British deputies noted, in the report, that the Moroccan approach is based on “realistic proposals” to eradicate the causes of extremism in the vast Sahel through economic and human development solutions.
