In a recent interview with online based Moroccan news outlet InsafPress, Mr.Mohamed Tariq Sbai, head of the Moroccan Commission for the Protection of Public Money, said fighting corruption in Morocco did not start yet.

Sbai added, in the same interview, that more constitutional reforms must take place and that Benkirane does not have the right to forgive corrupt people, as that ‘looted wealth’, in his words, “do not belong to Benkirane. It belongs to Moroccans and it is Moroccans that have their right to decide upon the money’s destiny, not Benkirane,”

“This said, we could say Benkirane failed the exam because he started his political campaign with the ‘let’s fight against corruption’ emblem but embraced corruption instead of fighting it.”, he added.

“We, the Moroccan Commission for the Protection of Public Money, are categorically against Benkirane’s Afa Allah amma Salaf (Allah forgives previous wrong doings)“.

“Today, we are working collaboratively with many organizations and individuals to come up with a new law, the Mine Ayna laka hada(Where did you get that from?) law.”, he added.
