King Mohammed VI arrives to Libreville, Gabon

His Majesty the King Mohammed VI left on Wednesday afternoon Conakry, following an official visit He paid to the Republic of Guinea, and heading to Gabon.  This is the fourth and final stage of a Tour that led the Sovereign to Mali and Côte d’Ivoire.

During His departure from the Conakry-Gbessia International Airport, His Majesty was greeted by the Guinean President Alpha Condé.

After displaying a projection of the Guinean Armed Forces, which made the honours, His Majesty the King was greeted by the Guinean Prime Minister, the Members of Government, the Governor of Conakry City, the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions accredited to Guinea, and by Senior Officers from the Guinean Armed Forces.

His Majesty the King was also greeted by the Ambassador of Morocco in Conakry, Mr. Majid Halim, the members of the Moroccan Diplomatic Mission in Guinea, and by the representatives of the Moroccan community in Guinea.

His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, arrived on Wednesday early evening, to Libreville.

Upon His arrival at the Libreville Leon M’ba International Airport, His Majesty was welcomed by the Gabonese President, Mr. Ali Bongo Ondimba.

His Majesty the King was then welcomed by Senior Officers of the Gabonese Army, the Prime Minister, and Members of the Gabonese Government, the Governor of Libreville City, and the Cabinet members of the Presidency of the Republic.

The Sovereign was also welcomed by the Ambassador of Morocco in Libreville, the members of the Moroccan diplomatic missions, and the representatives of the Moroccan community in Gabon.
For His part, the Gabonese President has been welcomed by the members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the King, namely, the Counselors of the Sovereign, Mr. Taib Fassi Fihri and Mr. Fouad Ali El Himma.

The official Moroccan Delegation also comprises the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Toufiq, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Boussaid Mohamed, the Minister of Agriculture and Marine Fishing, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, the Minister of Equipment, Transport and Logistics, Mr. Rebbah Aziz, the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital Economy, Mr. Moulay Hafid El Alami, the Minister of Health, Mr. El Houceine El Ouardi, the Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Mr. Abdelkader Amara, the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Lahcen Haddad, and Mr. Youssef Amrani, Chargé de Mission at the Royal Cabinet.

His Majesty the King is also accompanied by a delegation that comprises officials, economic operators representing the public and private sectors, and other civil and military personalities.

While He was leaving the airport, the Sovereign cheered the crowds that came to welcome the Sovereign.

Portraits of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI and President Ali Bongo, and panels on which are inscribed welcoming expressions, have been displayed for several days in the main streets of the city, indicating the pride and enthusiasm of a whole nation to welcome the Sovereign and to wish Him a pleasant stay in Gabonese lands.
