U.N: Morocco Accepts to Guarantee the Freedom of Worship and Religion

Morocco accepted the U.N’s last proposal to “guarantee the freedom of worship and religion in Morocco”.

Though Morocco did not vote either for nor against the proposal, another U.N charter stipulates that in case of “Abstinence to vote”, the U.N deems the proposal as accepted.

The Specific charter stipulates that  “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance”.

The event which saw Morocco accepting the proposal took place in Zurich, Switzerland, during the U.N’s 24th global summit.
