Two years since he was nominated Prime Minister, Abdelilah Benkirane lost nearly half of his supporters.
According to an opinion poll published by Moroccan magazine L’Economiste, 45% Moroccans would be satisfied by Benkirane’s performance. While this figure is still positive compared to other heads of governments, it contrasts however with the 88% support rate which Benkirane enjoyed back in 2012.
Abdelilah Benkirane was nominated Prime Minister following the victory of Justice and Development Party (PJD) during anticipated parliamentary elections in 2011. The next parliamentary elections are expected to be held in 2016.
