“Morocco is preparing in High Secrecy to bring the Ceuta and Melilla case to the the UN,” reported various Spanish media outlets.

El Confidenciel said that Morocco is intending to call upon the UN in 2015 to restore its territorial integrity; a request that will be backed up with historical and diplomatic evidences that confirms the belonging of Ceuta and Melilla to Morocco.

The Spanish politicians have been lately in tatters when it came to the issue. A significant number among the Spanish policy-makers are being consistent with their discourses, in the sense that they consider the sounding historical realities, which prove the “Moroccanity” of the two cities.

The Spanish representative at the UN commented on this update, reported El Confidential, as a “justified legitimate challenge to Spain, particularly that Morocco will draw analogies between the two cities and the strait of Gibraltar, which Spain want to recover from the UK.”
