Minister Khalfi: “United Nations Secretary General Recognized Morocco’s Progress In South Provinces”

Moroccan Agency press(MAP) reported Morocco’s Minister of Communication and Government Spokesman, Mustafa El Khalfi saying the progress made by Morocco in the promotion of human rights, particularly in the southern provinces were recognized and hailed by the latest report of the UN Secretary General.

Khalfi was caught saying the following:

“Morocco has made ​​great progress towards the promotion of human rights and mainly in the Southern provinces, and this is a fact that has been clearly recognized and praised in the report of the UN Secretary General on the Sahara,” as relayed by La MAP.

Morocco’s Minister of Communication and Government Spokesman also noted that the report sheds the light on the recent reforms of the Code of the Military Justice, Morocco’s cooperation on the issue of enforced disappearance,  the freedom of belief, the work done by the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH), in addition to the positive interaction with the visits of the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General, Christopher Ross.
