Eric Zemmour, a well-known controversial French writer, a political journalist, and a former reporter for Le Figaro sparked controversy recently on Itelé saying that “Algeria does not exist. Algeria was invented by France. It was and still is a colonized land”.
Zemour added: “I am not joking here. I am serious. Even the word Algeria came to existence thanks to France.”
