The Moroccan International Mehdi Benatia who plays for AS Roma was named the best player of his squad this season, in a vote among the Italian club’s fans.
Benatia has been able to shine as a star among his peers this season, which has allowed him to receive such recognition instead of the handful of stars in Roma such as Gervinho and the legendary Totti.
It is important to note that even as a defender, Benatia was able to score five goals for Roma this season.
